Video Game Roundtable Discussion and Demo

Whether You are an Expert or Beginner with Video Games, all Librarians are Welcome!

Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 9:30AM-12:00PM
at the Garden City Public Library

Roundtable Discussion:

Bring your questions and/or share your experience and ideas on the following topics:

  • Collection Development: Learn about the Best Games, Game Genres, Review Sites, Content Ratings, and more!
  • Lending Games: Share Your Library’s Practices, Procedures, and Policies!
  • General Gaming News: What Systems are Hot? What Games are Hot?
  • Tournaments and Programming: Share Programming Ideas for Children, Teens, and Adults!
  • Video Games and Literacy: How Can Video Games Boost Literacy? What are the Benefits of Gaming?

Demo:
Librarians will get the opportunity to demo games on the latest systems, including:

  • Nintendo 3DS
  • Nintendo Wii U
  • PlayStation 3
  • PlayStation 4
  • PlayStation Vita
  • Xbox 360
  • iPad
  • PC

Librarians, especially those with limited to no gaming experience, will get the chance to see what video games are all about!

$5 for NCLA members, $15 for non-members.

Make Checks Payable to NCLA.

CEUs will be awarded.

Registration is required. Register no later than Wednesday, January 28, 2015.
